This regional service is based at the Freeman Hospital and is one of six specialist centres of excellence in the UK and Ireland.
Our doctors and nurses have expertise in care and treatment of many conditions, including:
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Pulmonary arterio-venous malformations
- Hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia
- Familial pulmonary hypertension
- Pulmonary arterial hypertension
We work closely with cardiopulmonary transplantation colleagues. Therefore, if your condition gets worse, you can be quickly referred for further treatment.

You can be referred into the service by your GP.

Research
We have a very active clinical trials programme for research into pulmonary vascular diseases.
Therefore, patients are offered the opportunity to try emerging new therapies and treatments.
