Dr Williams is a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure and cardiomyopathy.
Dr Williams studied at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2009. He completed his PhD in cardiac MRI in 2022. He completed his cardiology training in the South West before taking up a Consultant post in Newcastle in 2023.
Dr Williams specialises in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT and leads the North East mavacamten service for patients with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He is the clinical lead for RVI Cardiology and the RVI clinical governance lead. He also is the cardiac imaging lead for the North East and North Cumbria cardiac network.
