Our Eye Clinic Liaison Officers are here to help you get the care and support you need as soon as you have been diagnosed with a condition affecting your vision.
Losing all or part of your sight can affect you emotionally as well as physically. Our Officers act as a ‘bridge’ between our eye specialists and a range of organisations, such as social services, that can provide you with information about what help is available to you, both locally and nationally.
Our liaison service is available to patients of all ages at the RVI.
How can I be referred into the service?
Although most people are referred to our service by consultants and other hospital staff, you can be referred by your GP or community nurse and increasingly, people refer themselves.
You, your relatives and carers are welcome to call in to see one of our team without an appointment, although we do advise you phone first to check availability.
Where are we based?
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
