Main outpatients
The Royal Victoria Infirmary’s main outpatient department in New Victoria Wing is divided into a number of clinic areas from A – G. These include:
- Cardiology Clinic (including ECGs)
- Chest Clinic
When you arrive in the department, register at the reception desk under your Consultant’s name. The staff will let you know which clinic area to report to.

We run other outpatient clinics at the Royal Victoria Infirmary:
- Breast Clinic
- Breast Screening and Assessment Service
- Children’s Outpatient Department
- Child Development Centre
- Dermatology Clinics
- Fracture Clinic
- General Medicine (including Endocrinology and Gastroenterology)
- Haematology
- INR or Warfarin Clinic
- Maternity – Antenatal Clinic
- Neurology Clinics
- Pain Clinic
- Plastic Surgery and Hand Unit
- Trauma Clinic
- Women’s Health Unit
There is also a Pharmacy in the New Victoria Wing.

Staff you are likely to meet
The clinical team in the outpatient departments include consultants and their team of doctors, nurses and other support staff.
Please note that as we are a teaching hospital there may be students attending the clinic.
Things you need to know
- Please speak to your GP if you require transport to your outpatient appointment
- Car parking including disabled parking is available. For more details, see our car parking pages
- There is a range of refreshment facilities available at the RVI in both New Victoria Wing and Leazes Wing
