Our plastic and reconstructive surgery service helps people who need surgical and medical treatment to restore the appearance and / or function of any part of the body.
This may be because of a condition which has been present from birth, (eg cleft lip and palate), as a result of an injury, (eg hand injury, burns or major limb trauma), disease (eg breast or bone cancer), or ageing.
The aim is to improve both the function and appearance.
Plastic and reconstructive surgery is based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and is one of the largest and most highly respected units of its kind in the UK.
