You will attend fracture clinic following a recent injury or to be reviewed following surgery. You may also have a clinic appointment following a referral from your GP.
Clinics run daily in fracture clinic, providing Consultants with an opportunity to examine people and offer treatment options. People may also see one of the specialist physiotherapists who have clinics in the department.
What will happen at my clinic appointment?
Before seeing your clinician you may have to an x-ray in order that this information is available before your consultation.
During your clinic appointment you may have a plaster cast removed or applied, this will be carried out by Orthopaedic practitioners and they will provide you with advice and guidance regarding the management of our cast.
Where is the clinic held?
The fracture clinic is located on Level 1 in New Victoria Wing at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
