Egg donation helps families overcome infertility. It also supports important research that has been vital in developing groundbreaking techniques to prevent the transmission of DNA-related conditions, including the world’s first mitochondrial replacement techniques, which were developed here in the North East.

- Generally fit and healthy.
If you are unsure but are keen to explore this further, please still get in touch with us.
Where can I get more information?
We will send you detailed information about egg donation to help you understand the process. We will then arrange a face-to-face consultation to discuss it in more detail and answer any questions you may have. There is no obligation to proceed.
In the UK, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) regulates processes involving egg donation, and it is mandatory that all centres offering this are licensed by HFEA.
Is there a financial compensation to be an egg donor?
Egg donation is done on a voluntary and altruistic basis. Under HFEA legislation (2008) you will be entitled to maximum compensation of £750 to cover expenses.
