Our children’s cardiac outpatients department provide a comprehensive service for outpatients including:
- new referrals
- pre-operative and post-operative patients
- routine and transplant follow-up patients.
Patients with more complex conditions, such as complex airway conditions and Pulmonary Hypertension, can also attend our specialist clinics.
Coming for an appointment?
When you come for an outpatients appointment, please report to the main outpatients reception desk 10 minutes before your appointment (unless you are asked to attend earlier). Please bring your appointment card.
We always try our best to ensure you are seen by a doctor on time. But there are times when your doctor may have to spend longer with a patient than originally planned, so your appointment may be delayed.
We display information about delays on the notice board, but we do appreciate your patience.
Staff you are likely to meet
The team consists of:
- Medical and nursing staff
- Specialist nurses
- Paediatric cardiac physiologists
- Support staff including the dental team, psychology and social workers.
You may see different members of the team during your visit, but we have a staff photo board in the clinic to help you identify who is who.
