The centres opened in May 2023 and provide the latest technology in modern, flexible facilities which can be adapted to meet a wide range of training needs.
Staff and students are able to access a full programme of training and learning and we’re proud to include the following in our offer:
- high-tech simulation areas, providing ‘real life’ scenarios using the latest equipment.
- replica consultation rooms and ward bays
- IT suites
- adaptable lecture theatre.
Eldon Court – accommodates 60 education and training staff, with capacity for 200 students. Training offer includes medical education, incorporating final year exams, with access to a clinical suite containing exact replicas of hospital bays and wards, a nurses’ station, consultation rooms and an outpatient area.
Freeman Hospital – accommodates 20 education and training staff, with capacity for 300 students. Containing state-of-the-art simulation facilities, a replica operating theatre, ward and full lecture theatre.
