To help patients manage their radiology appointments and letters in an easy to reach and secure place, we are launching a new online patient portal – linking with the NHS App.
What do I need to do?
If you have an appointment with our Radiology department, you will soon receive a text message, email or NHS App notification when you have a new digital letter or radiology appointment This will explain how to log in to patient portal, or the NHS App, to view the appointment or letter online.
We will send you a text message (from the number 07860039092) or an email (from [email protected]) with a link to your letter and patient portal. You can access this on your mobile phone, tablet or computer.
We are working with DrDoctor to deliver this service.
Patients who prefer paper letters can still receive their letters by post as usual.
Log in to your patient portalThere are two key features to the patient portal; digital letters and managing your appointments.

Digital letters
Why are we introducing digital letters?
- Receive letters faster, securely and in one place
- Avoids confusion around lost letters or letters arriving in the wrong order
- Supports our environmental impact
- Saves the NHS money by reducing the amount spent on paper and postage
Did you know…
If all of radiology appointment letters were sent digitally, instead of by post, the department would save around £18,000 a month.
How does this work?
