Ward/Area Covered
- Team respiratory cover ward 12 (PICU), ward 2a (respiratory/medical), ward 9 (general surgical), ward 1a (medical, renal and gastro) and ward 6 (PEAU)
Conditions Covered
- PICU take medical, surgical and neuro-surgical patients including trauma and burns
- PEAU take emergency admissions and is connected to children’s A&E, the team treat those with acute respiratory concerns
- The team provide respiratory care and developmental/rehabilitation input for all appropriate patients; this also includes promoting early mobility
