Ward/Area Covered
- The orthopaedic paediatric physiotherapy team treat children admitted to Ward 10, Ward 11 or Ward 8 day unit.
- If required the team will refer you to the appropriate area for follow up and outpatient care after your admission.
Conditions Covered
- A neuro physiotherapist assesses and treats children and young people with neurological conditions.
- These are conditions associated with the central nervous system – the brain, spinal cord and nerves. Children with neurological conditions can often have complex problems including: muscle weakness, stiffness and changes in muscle tone, balance and co-ordination problems, sensory changes, movement disorders.
- These conditions can have a huge impact on the body’s function, and on day-to-day activities.
