The day unit (ward 36) gives a range of treatment including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, supportive medications (including transfusions, antibiotics, iron replacement and immunoglobulin)
You will be cared for by several different members of staff including nurses who are trained in administering anti-cancer therapies, doctors, specialist nurses and other support staff.
Refreshments are available in the day unit.
For some patients it may be possible to offer scalp cooling during chemotherapy which may reduce hair loss. Please check with your doctor/nurse if this is suitable for you.
