Dr Clare Parker is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Newcastle Hospitals. Originally from Liverpool, Clare moved to the North East to study medicine and never wanted to leave!
Clare has a special interest in endoscopy especially capsule endoscopy and device assisted enteroscopy. She is keenly interested in teaching and training, especially endoscopy training, and is involved at a national level with capsule endoscopy education and training.
She is Course Director for the European Lumley Castle capsule endoscopy training course and a permanent faculty member on the Sheffield European capsule endoscopy course.
A permanent faculty member for Endoscopy Village – a national BSG led endoscopy training resource – Clare is also the current Vice-Chair for the capsule endoscopy user group and has had key involvement in the development of a national certification pathway for capsule endoscopy.
