NMAHP Researcher Development Institute Chief Nurse Senior Research Fellowship Opportunity & Chief Nurse Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship Opportunity

• Support and mentorship from Newcastle Health Research Partnership, the Newcastle Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), and the Newcastle Clinical Skills Academy to enable you to identify appropriate development opportunities, build networks, draw on perspectives beyond your current role and plan for your future career.
• Information about the National Institute for Health and Social Care Research (NIHR) and the NHS research landscape related to funding and development opportunities.
• Introductions to a range of resources available to support research and leadership including accessing local and regional training opportunities.
• Peer support through participation at regular meetings to discuss research progress, experiences and needs.
• Opportunities to support other NMAHP research related initiatives currently in development as part of our flagship charitably funded NMAHP Researcher Development Institute.

What we would like to see from you in return:

• Successful completion of the research project within the confines of the 12-month period.
• A written report for the organisation highlighting key themes from the work.
• Preparation for a journal article and abstract submission to share the project outputs and your own development as a result of the fellowship.
• Clear and demonstrable progress against a bespoke development plan as identified at the outset of the fellowship and supported by our Joint Clinical Academic Professor of Nursing.
• Visibility as a role model, championing research across the trust.
• A developed plan for your next steps post fellowship.

• You must be employed by The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
• You must have completed a PhD or Professional Doctorate if applying for the Chief Nurse Post-Doctoral fellowship
• Applications are open to Band 5, 6, 7 and 8a.
• Applications are invited from Nurses, Midwives, and Allied Health Professionals, as identified via NHS England here. 

• We offer a Q & A session a few weeks after the fellowship goes live where you can ask questions and hear from others.  You can book via Eventbrite once events go live
