The Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle has been a training centre for Mohs micrographic surgery since 2006. Previous fellows have moved on to consultant posts throughout the United Kingdom/Ireland and even further afield (Cape Town, Singapore, Portugal) , many are now leading voices and advocates for Mohs surgery. Fellows in Mohs micrographic surgery have completed their dermatology training and choose to undertake a period of additional training prior to becoming consultants. During their one-year fellowship fellows work under the supervision of experienced consultant dermatologists/Mohs surgeons and at completion will typically have undertaken approximately five hundred Mohs excisions.

Dr Dalvir Singh Bajwa

Dr Dalvir Singh Bajwa is a Mohs micrographic surgery fellow at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a UK-trained consultant dermatologist. He trained in the North East of England and has a specialist interest in skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery, and dermatological surgery. His journey into medicine has strongly shaped his approach to patient care, with an emphasis on empathy, clear communication, and building trust alongside meticulous surgical practice.
Dr Chris Puo Nen Lim

Dr Chris Puo Nen Lim is a UK-trained consultant dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgery fellow at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his dermatology training in the West of Scotland and has a specialist interest in dermatological surgery and medical education, with a focus on delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
