Our ENT Speech and Language Therapy service provides assessment and treatment of speech, swallowing, upper airway, and voice disorders for the Newcastle area, accepting referrals for our specialist clinics from outside the area.
We provide SLT services for the following caseloads:
- Children’s voice and upper airways
- Head and neck cancer including speech and swallowing
- Laryngectomy
- Laryngoscopy
- Swallowing disorders (ENT)
- Upper airway disorders including inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO) and chronic cough
- Voice disorders
The department also hosts the Biennial Newcastle Voice Conference.
