Hearing aid repair appointments are short. You will often be seen by an assistant audiologist who will assess the problem with your hearing aid and, where necessary, signpost you to other services or advise you on the next steps in your care.
Booked hearing aid repairs

- North Tyneside General Hospital
Please remember
- No hearing tests are performed at repair appointments.
- Audiology staff do not remove wax.
- If you arrive late for your appointment, you may not be seen. As appointment slots are short and patients are booked back-to-back, there is no spare capacity to accommodate late arrivals.
Hearing aid batteries, spare tubing and hearing aid repairs
We support NHS hearing aid users with hearing aid maintenance, replacement tubing and batteries.

Battery collection
Battery collection is now available from some health centres and GP surgeries.
These centres can only supply batteries to NHS hearing aid users.
