From today (Monday 9 January), essential building work will take place over several months at New Croft Centre in Newcastle City Centre which will affect the number of appointments we can offer at the centre.
We are asking patients not to come into the building unless they have been asked to attend the service at New Croft (such as for an appointment or to collect a DIY kit or medication) or if they are attending a young person’s clinic.
Patients are being asked to call the team on 0191 229 2999 between 8.30am – 10.30am for urgent problems and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm for non-urgent issues.
If a face-to-face appointment is needed – for example for treatment of a sexually transmitted infection, fittings of coils and implants and contraception – people may be asked to attend an alternative clinic in a different location across the city including:
Westgate Road
Westgate Road
Newcastle upon Tyne
NE4 6BE
Walker Resource
Centre Church Walk
Walker
Newcastle upon Tyne
NE6 3BS
Molineux

Please note: New Croft Centre staff will be delivering the services at these sites, and they will offer patients the same high standard of care that they can expect from New Croft Centre. Other providers of sexual health services across the region have also been informed of this temporary change.
