Ward 22 is a major trauma and orthopaedic ward caring for adults who have traumatic injuries, including bone fractures and minor head injuries.
The ward is divided into two units: one unit for major trauma patients; the other unit for patients with traumatic hip fractures.
Some patients are admitted from the RVI’s emergency department or assessment suite, or may come to the unit after being treated in the critical care unit or high dependency unit.

Ward 22 is on level four of Claremont Wing at the RVI.
