Ward 8 is a general surgery ward and part of the Regional Northern Vascular Centre. It mainly looks after people with problems with their arteries, veins, and vessels.
This includes:
- Stroke
- Peripheral artery disease (PAD)
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)
Ward 8 also has close links with our Disablement Services Centre.
Ward visiting times
Monday to Friday 2-4pm and 6-8pm
Saturday and Sunday 2-8pm
Location of ward
Ward 8 is on Level 4 at Freeman Hospital. From the Main Entrance walk past the reception desk and follow the corridor, passing the shop and hairdressers. Turn left and take the stairs or lift up one floor to level 4 and follow the signs for Ward 7.
