Mr Figueiredo is a consultant surgeon at the Freeman Hospital and Royal Victoria Infirmary where he specialises in hepatobiliary (HPB) surgery, abdominal organ transplantation surgery and surgery for retroperitoneal sarcomas.
Mr Figueiredo trained in Newcastle specialising in hepatobiliary, transplant and sarcoma surgery. He has a PhD from Newcastle University on Liver Transplantation.
His clinical activity includes cancers of liver, pancreas and biliary tree, as well as retroperitoneal sarcomas. He also specialises in transplantation of liver, pancreas and kidneys. In addition, Mr Figueiredo also performs on call trauma and emergency surgery at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
