Dr Nidhi Sibal is a consultant radiologist with a special interest in breast screening and symptomatic radiology.
Dr Sibal runs clinics and carries out image guided biopsies, staging procedures for the axilla (armpit), stereotactic guided procedures and excision (removal) of small lesions in the breast with large volume vacuum device.
Newcastle’s Breast unit offers Iodine seed localisation of small impalpable breast cancers and the team was the first to establish this service in the UK.
The unit also offers an MRI guided breast biopsy service to the North-East region and as a specialised service to centres in the North of England and Scotland.
Dr Sibal works with the Screening and Quality Assurance Service for the North in the role of Clinical Professional advisor for Breast Radiology.
