Dr Kiera McDowall is a Consultant in Occupational Health at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Having graduated from Newcastle University Medical School, Dr McDowall completed training in General Practice in the North East of England. She worked as a General Practitioner in Newcastle upon Tyne prior to commencing training in Occupational Medicine.
Dr McDowall started her Consultant post in the Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Hospitals Foundation Trust in August 2019. Her role involves supporting managers, HR and staff with complex case management in relation to health, disability and performance-related issues. She supervises, trains and supports Occupational Medicine Registrars to facilitate their progression towards becoming Consultants.
Dr McDowall actively supports team development and continually drives to provide a comprehensive and supportive Occupational Health Service to the Trust.
