Become a member
Join us to help improve our quality of service and to ensure your voice is heard.
Our members are an essential part of our future. We hope that thousands of people will want to become involved with our work by becoming members of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You might even decide to stand in the election to our Council of Governors.
All of us will need high quality, safe healthcare in our lives. The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is proud to provide an outstanding service to the entire community. Our patients, the public, our staff, our governors, our members, and our partner organisations all help provide a broad representation of our local community, reflecting a variety of different views.
We are committed to ensuring that our membership is reflective of the community we serve and are keen to ensure that all voices are represented.
It’s an exciting time to be joining the Trust as a member as we look to review how we engage with our membership as we emerge from the pandemic. We have a People, Engagement, and Membership Group, made up of a cohort of our Governors, to coordinate member engagement and activities who are keen to hear your suggestions for how we can keep you informed.
Benefits of membership
Becoming a member is completely free and anyone over the age of 16 can join. It only takes a couple of minutes to register and some of the benefits include:
