Octenisan® 5-day antimicrobial wash protocol
- Ensure Hair and Body are wet.
- Apply Octenisan® undiluted to a damp washcloth.
- Apply Octenisan® evenly all over the body and hair (recommended skin contact time 1 minute). All over Hair & Body. Focus on areas a, b, c.
- Rinse off thoroughly.
- Dry with clean towel.
- Put on clean clothing and bedding.
Repeat this wash daily for 5 consecutive days, following the instructions provided by your healthcare team. Avoid contact with the eyes and seek advice from a healthcare professional if irritation occurs.
What is Octenisan®?
Octenisan® is an antimicrobial hair and body wash effective against a broad range of microorganisms whilst caring for the skin.

Washing instructions
- Wet your skin and/or hair.
- Apply an adequate amount of Octenisan® undiluted onto a damp washcloth.
- Apply Octenisan® evenly all over the body and hair (recommended skin contact time 1 minute).
Pay particular attention to:- Armpits
- Groin
- Perineum (the area of skin around bottom)
- Rinse off.
- Dry with a clean towel.
- Put on clean clothing and clean bedding.
Important Information
- Bath or shower daily using Octenisan® and follow this procedure.
- Ensure that you are the sole user of the washcloth and towel or that these are disposable.
- Use a clean and dry washcloth and towel for each bath or shower and ensure that these are properly clean and dried before using again.
- If you experience any difficulty in following this procedure, please seek help from a carer or healthcare professional.
