Pain relief options

Pain relief during labour is one of the most requested topics at parent education sessions.

We want to reassure you that there are many pain relief (analgesia) options available to you and this section of the website explains each one to you.

Our best advice is not to panic. If one type of pain relief (analgesia) isn’t working for you, you can try something else. Your midwife will advise and guide you through the options as much as you need.
