Dr Lorenzi was appointed as a Consultant Rheumatologist in Newcastle in 2009. She completed her rheumatology training in Yorkshire and the North East.
Special interests
Dr Lorenzi has special interests in Vasculitis and Connective Tissue Disease. She is a member of the departments GCA Fast Track Pathway and contributes to our local and regional MDT.
Research
Dr Lorenzi completed a period of research developing a method for measuring thymic function in rheumatic diseases under the supervision of Professor John Isaacs. Dr Lorenzi was awarded a PhD in 2008.
