I obtained my MBBS degree from Al-Zaiem Al-Azhari University, Sudan, in 2007. I subsequently undertook postgraduate medical training in the Republic of Ireland, where I was awarded a Master’s degree in Clinical Research. I later completed higher specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in Newcastle and across the North East of England, before joining Newcastle Hospitals as a Consultant Rheumatologist and General Internal Medicine Physician.
I am part of the Acute Medical Team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, working on the Medical Assessment Suite and Same Day Emergency Care.
Special interests
My clinical interests include inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, and the application of musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology.
Research
I remain engaged in clinical research and actively contributes to the recruitment of patients into clinical trials.
