Dr Slade was appointed as a Consultant rheumatologist in Newcastle in 2025. She has previously worked as a consultant at the South Tees NHS Trust and completed her Rheumatology Training in Yorkshire.
Special interests
Dr Slade has special interests in connective tissue disease and education. She is currently the Training Programme Director for Rheumatology for Health Education North East.
Research
Dr Slade has completed a masters degree which included research into medical education in the outpatient department. She has also co-authored a textbook on Rheumatology and Orthopaedics.
