Dr Nadia Howard Tripp studied Medicine at Cambridge University, graduating with a BA (MA) in 2010, before completing her clinical training at University College London and graduating with an MBBS in 2013. She worked in London before moving to Newcastle in 2015 to work in Sjogren’s disease research prior to commencing specialty training in rheumatology training in 2016. Dr Howard Tripp was appointed as consultant at the Freeman Hospital in 2025. She enjoys general rheumatology and but has a special interest in metabolic bone disease and Sjogren’s disease.

Research
Dr Howard Tripp has considerable research experience having worked as an academic clinical research associate at Newcastle University, as a sub-investigator on several rheumatology clinical trials. She also completed an academic clinical fellowship as part of her registrar training. This involved clinical research into Sjogren’s disease using registry data and culminated in the publication of a first author original research article in the Lancet Rheumatology.
