Ben Messer is a consultant in home ventilation and critical care medicine. He is the clinical lead for the North East Assisted Ventilation Service.
Ben has interests in tracheostomy in:
- Motor Neurone Disease
- Respiratory and perioperative care in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
- Palliative care in neuromuscular disease.
He is the chair of the critical care specialist advisory group of the British Thoracic Society and Sepsis lead for the Trust.
