Dr Amal Samaraweera is a Consultant Neurologist based at the RVI’s Neurosciences Centre with a specialist interest in multiple sclerosis.
Dr Samaraweera graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical school in 2006. He carried out higher postgraduate neurology training during the period 2010 – 2017 and completed a PhD in MS and magnetic resonance imaging in 2017.
He was appointed as a Consultant Neurologist in Newcastle in 2017 and runs weekly multiple sclerosis and general neurology clinics.
