Dr Ela Akay is a Consultant Neurologist based at the RVI’s Neurosciences Centre where she specialises in Epilepsy and Epilepsy in pregnancy.
Dr Akay qualified from the University of Manchester in 2009 and trained in London, Nottingham and the North East, as well as completing an epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland clinic, USA, in 2018. She was appointed as a Consultant Neurologist in Newcastle in 2018.
