We are pleased to announce the launch of the Celebrating Excellence Awards 2024!
It has been a very difficult and challenging year for staff working across the organisation and this has been reinforced through the findings of the CQC report, staff survey and recent roadshows and focus groups.
While action is being taken to put things right quickly, we also know that behind the headlines, our staff continue to do incredible things in their day-to-day work.
This year, more than ever, it’s important we capture that to give people an opportunity to reflect – and remember – some the things we are doing well by highlighting some of the great work happening across Newcastle Hospitals.
The awards are all about recognising those who – despite our current challenges – still go over and above to support our patients and each other.
This is a night of people coming together to share their achievements, for us to say thank you and to help build some of the pride back into our organisation.
There are 12 categories you can nominate colleagues and as always, everyone working in the trust should be eligible for at least one category. We are also giving people the opportunity to recognise the huge contribution our volunteers and charity supporters make to the trust.
This is now a key annual event in the calendar and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and support of Newcastle Hospitals Charity, we will be holding a gala evening at St James’ Park on Friday 27 September 2024.
So please tell us who you think deserves to be recognised for the real difference they make to patients or the people they work with.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 7 June 2024.
You can submit a nomination for the Celebrating Excellence Awards online and we will be distributing paper nomination forms out to reception areas in the Trust.
