Care of genetic conditions in primary care

Care of genetic conditions in primary care Including the management of the conditions Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Alpha 1 anittripsin deficiency (AATD), Haemochromatosis, and Hypermobility.

The Northern Genetic Service are no longer routinely offering appointment for people with a family history of the following conditions.  These conditions can be tested for and managed within the primary care setting.

  • Cystic Fibrosis (CF),
  • Alpha 1 anittripsin deficiency (AATD),
  • Haemochromatosis,
  • Hypermobility.
