Dr Richard Frearson is a Consultant physician in Older People’s Medicine where he has a special interest in pre-operative assessment for older people undergoing surgery.
Originally from Hull, Dr Frearson moved to the North East for Medical School and graduated from Newcastle University in 1996. Much of his undergraduate and postgraduate training took place with the Newcastle Hospitals before he became a Consultant in 2005.

Dr Frearson has a particular interest in undergraduate medical education, and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University
