Dr Clement qualified at the University of Oxford in 1995 and was trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in both Oxford and the North East. In 2007 she started subspecialty training in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare with Dr Diana Mansour in Newcastle.
She became a consultant at Newcastle Sexual Health Services in August 2013 undertaking both sexual health and medical gynaecology and working as clinical lead for the service between May 2020 and October 2023. She has recently left the sexual health services to concentrate on gynaecology.
Currently she works part time as a gynaecologist at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Her special interests are medical gynaecology including menopause care, complex contraception including difficult contraceptive implant removals and colposcopy. She is a British Menopause Society accredited specialist and trainer. She is an accredited colposcopist and trainer with the British Society of Colposcopy and she is also a trainer for the Faulty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
