Supporting staff to liberate their potential through the delivery of high quality and innovative education, lifelong learning and training is a key priority at the Newcastle Hospitals.
We are committed to ensuring staff can access learning opportunities to enable continuing professional development (CPD).
Last year, the Chief Nursing Officer for England announced significant investment in CPD for every registered nurse, midwife, nursing associate and allied health professional (NMAHP).
This means that every NMAHP in our organisation will be able to access the equivalent of £1,000 worth of professional development over a three-year period.
To apply for this funding you will need to complete the latest study leave application form and select YES to CPD funded – this funding is for course fees only.

This CPD funding enables us to invest in NMAHP staff development, however non-NMAHP staff will also continue to be supported through existing funding sources.
